I just had the most surreal experience of my college career. I'm in a gen ed humanities class that I honestly kind of slept through. I've done all the little assignments, turned in the papers, participated just enough to not look like a ghost.

With finals week looming, I finally decided to check where I stand. I pulled up a final exam calculator, entered all my current grades, and left the final exam score field blank, just to see what I needed. You guys. The calculator says that because of my current average and the way the weighting works, I could get a zero on the final and still end the class with an 87%. A SOLID B+.

I literally screamed. I'm not going to skip it, because that's tempting fate, but the peace of mind this has given me is incredible. I can walk into that exam room completely stress-free, knowing that even if I bomb it, I'm fine. It's the most powerful I've ever felt. It's like the calculator just handed me a get-out-of-jail-free card. Has anyone else ever had this glorious, liberating experience?
