At West Texas A M University, Got some advice to ask, folks! Looking for those of you who've done the whole off-campus living thing at West Texas University. I'm proud Longhorn myself and did my time in the dorms back in my days at Austin. But now my kid brother's heading out there and he's dead set on living off-campus. Honestly, I'm not sure how different it'll be from Austin. Any ex-Buffs here who can shine some light? Like, what's the neighborhood situation like? Are we talking walking distance to campus or 20-minute drive? And hey, it's Texas, so the heat's given but what about other weather surprises? Remember back at Texas Tech (my grad school), we had such intense Biology study sessions that we'd burn the midnight oil frequently. Speaking of which, occasionally crashing at friends' apartments off-campus was practically lifesaver. And boy, don't get me started on those surprise quizzes! Guess my point is, living off-campus can make or break college experience especially when you're new to place. So, any heads up would be gold!
