tbf currently taking global marketing, cross-cultural management, and spanish. Any tips 🤝 on navigating the language barrier? Also, curious about campus safety experiences here in Texas. Being homesick ain't easy, but staying hopeful and adaptable! Appreciate any insights, Longhorns!

Safety is... complicated. The stats show crime isn't really increasing but students feel more on edge because of some high-profile incidents. That said, the school has put MILLIONS into safety—more lighting, more cops, the Ambassador program, SURE Walk, Night Rides (free Lyft 12-4am). I personally feel safe but I'm also careful. Never walk alone late, always share location with friends, use the resources they give you.

For language barrier—honestly people here are friendly and patient. Join orgs, talk in class, force yourself to speak even when it's scary. You'll improve so fast!!

What part of the world are you from? Always cool to meet international Longhorns!
