Lately, I've been grappling with security protocols, gearing up for certification exams, and staying on top of emerging threats in the cyber world. I'm super excited to get involved in student organizations that align with my interests and career goals.

However, I've been struggling to find Texas college student groups specifically tailored to cybersecurity enthusiasts like me. I want to connect with fellow tech-savvy individuals who share my passion for all things cybersecurity.

Do any of you have recommedations for Texas college student organizations that focus on cybersecurity or tech in general? It would be awesome to join a group where I can discuss the latest trends, share resources, and maybe even prepare for those daunting certification exams together.

Hey RParker, welcome to the endless grind of certs and firewalls! 🔥

I was in your exact shoes last year. The good news is that Texas is actually a huge hub for this stuff. A lot of schools participate in the Texas Cyber Summit and have affiliated student chapters.

You absolutely need to look into Collegiate Cyber Defense Club (CCDC) or National Cyber League (NCL) teams. Even if your specific college doesn't have one, check if there's a regional coalition. These competitions are where you'll find your people. Feel free to DM me if you want specific school links!
