Starting my research: Can anyone give me a real idea how much is a boob job in texas?

I'm starting to seriously consider breast augmentation and I'm trying to figure out my budget. I live in Texas, so I'm focusing on surgeons here, but the prices I'm seeing online are all over the place. Some websites say around $5,000, others say upwards of $12,000. I'm trying to get a realistic idea of how much is a boob job in texas before I start booking consultations and getting my hopes up.

From what I've gathered, the average range in Houston seems to be somewhere between $5,000 and $9,500 for a standard augmentation . But I know that's just a starting point. It depends on so much—what kind of implants (saline vs. silicone), the surgeon's experience, facility fees, anesthesia, all of that . I've seen that silicone implants usually cost more than saline, maybe an extra $1,000 to $2,000 .

I also found out that if you need a lift along with implants, that adds a lot more—like $11,000 to $17,500 range . I don't think I need a lift, but it's good to know. And fat transfer breast augmentation is another option, but that seems even more expensive, around $9,500 to $12,000 .

For those of you who've had this done in Texas, what did you actually pay? Were there hidden costs that surprised you? I want to make sure I'm saving enough and not just looking at the base surgeon's fee. Also, any recommendations for board-certified surgeons in Houston or Dallas who are transparent about pricing? I'd rather pay more for someone experienced than bargain hunt and risk bad results .
