I've been pondering the importance of college wellness programs in Texas. Do y'all have any insights on how Teaching University supports student wellness specifically for Hospitality Management students?

I reckon it's crucial to find that balance between academic workload and personal well-being, especially in our industry that thrives on guest satisfaction. I'm all about organizing events and making folks feel welcomed, but sometimes I forget to take care of myself in the process. Any tips on how to stay grounded and focused amidst the hustle and bustle of college life? Excited to hear your thoughts! 😊

"How to stay grounded amidst the hustle" — whew, that hit different. 😅

I'm a nursing major so I get the whole "caring for others until you collapse" vibe. Here's what's working for me:

1. The 10-minute rule — before I start any event planning or studying, I take 10 minutes completely for myself. No phone. No people. Just breathing.

2. Boundary scripts — literally pre-written phrases like "I'd love to help with that, but I need to finish X first." Sounds silly but it works when you're tired.

3. Weekly non-negotiable fun — mine is Thursday night trivia. No exceptions. Gives me something to look forward to.

You got this! Hospitality needs people who actually take care of themselves! 💪
