The clinical requirements felt IMPOSSIBLE while studying for boards.
What nobody tells you: it's okay if your pace slows down during intense clinical rotations. I dropped to 12 credits one semester just to survive. Took me longer to graduate? Yes. But my GPA and sanity stayed intact.
For scholarships 2026: check if your school has emergency grants for healthcare students. Some Texas schools get specific funding for students in clinical programs . Also, if you're willing to work in underserved areas after graduation, look into loan repayment programs—not immediate money but takes the pressure off future you.
Also, UT Tyler etc have program-specific scholarships that don't always show up in general searches. Go talk to your department admin. They KNOW where the money is.
