I need some serious advice. I'm a freshman at UT Austin, and I thought I had my finances figured out with the TEXAS Grant (Toward EXcellence, Access and Success). But I just read the fine print again, and I'm spiraling a little. It says you have to "maintain satisfactory academic progress" which I get, but also something about not having too many dropped hours? I had to drop a class in my first semester because I was genuinely struggling to adjust, and now I'm terrified I've messed up my eligibility.
Has anyone been through the appeals process for this? Is it a nightmare? I'm trying not to panic, but my parents are counting on this money, and I don't want to let them down.
Any words of wisdom from seasoned Texas longhorns?
