Long time lurker, first time poster here. Now, I'm an Aggie through and through Aerospace Engineering, class of '02. Working on some rocket science stuff wish could tell more! In Fort Worth now. Anyway, my niece got herself accepted into Rice University. Bless her heart, she's never set foot outside California and is about as nervous as long-tail cat in room full of rockers!

She's worried about fitting in and navigating the campus. Honestly, Even though this institution isn't my alma mater, figure Texas hospitality is the same everywhere. So, what can newbie expect at the program? Any tips or advice can pass on to her to ease those jitters? Maybe something unique about their student culture? Or any specific spots on campus she should check out early on? While I've got your attention anyone got any insights on St. Edwards University's student-faculty ratio? My nephew is eyeing it for next fall, he'd really benefit from some quality one-on-one professor time!. Appreciate all your wisdom!

And hey, remember when the Aggies beat the Owls 38-10 in 1995? Good times. Good times.

Starting at Rice University Homesickness is totally normal; remember feeling that way during my first year at TWU. Remember, you're not alone! Joining student organizations or reaching out to classmates can help ease that homesick feeling. Embrace the journey you've got this!
