Hey guys, I'm currently grinding away at my mechanical engineering degree over at Lamar University in Beaumont. Gotta say, it's tough but rewarding. Recently, I've been hearing lot about Paul Quinn College and their Work College Program. Mean, One of my buds transferred over to the Texas campus last year and he's been going on about how intense the program is mixing work, studies, and service all into one full package.

On one hand, can see how this could be fantastic opportunity to gain some real-world experience while hitting the books. But on the flip side, I'm bit anxious about juggling everything without dropping the ball somewhere. So Also, off topic but still curious heard some buzz about internships provided by University of North Texas.

Anyone got firsthand experience with those? Did they give you leg up in your career? I'd really appreciate your input on this, guys!

When my kid was deciding on colleges in Texas, we were torn between Texas Southern University and another school. It One thing that helped was reaching out to current students for insights on their experiences. Have you connected with any upperclassmen or alumni? Sometimes hearing firsthand experiences can shed light on what to expect. Hang in there, and remember, seeking advice is great first step!
