Any tips for non-Texan attending Baylor University for the first time?

Just wanted to give big Texas welcome to the new folks headed to Baylor University. From an old Anthropology professor who spent good decade lecturing up at The University of Texas at Austin, Firstly, soak in the Texan spirit. People say everything's bigger here, and that sure as heck includes our hearts and hospitality. Get ready to be part of that grand tradition of Friday Night Lights—no, not just the series, this institutiont real-deal high school football games where whole towns show up. Yep, even though you're at college now, it's still quintessential Texas experience.

As for campus life at this school, get yourself involved. Food-wise barbecues and Tex-Mex are religion down here. If you ain't had brisket till now or didn't know queso was more than just cheese boy!. Your taste the universityds are about to go on one wild ride. Since we’re talking Texas weather hot is an understatement in summer. Light clothing and plenty of water are essentials around here especially when August rolls around. Now what about academics?.

Well, yes, they're important too!.
