I’m an alumni from Texas Woman’s University now working as school counselor in Dallas. Been here for about six years guess time flies when you're navigating the labyrinth of teenage emotions, huh?. Anyway, I've noticed trend among my kids lately: they're all jittery about starting college. Got to thinking, any of you fine folks got kids headed to Southern Methodist University this fall?. Or maybe you’re brave soul prepping to take the leap yourself?. Y'know, can understand the nerves.
Even though SMU's right here in Dallas BBQ at every corner and the Cowboys practically in your backyard it's whole new world compared to high school. Reckon if anyone needs some advice or just someone to spitball fears with I'd be glad to help out!. After all, we're all Texas strong in the end. Doesn’t hurt to talk about it sometimes, right?.
So how are y'all feeling about the big move?. Are there specific parts of starting at SMU that are keeping you up at night?
