ikr while i love cracking codes and uncovering digital mysteries, i've been eyeing some writing and publishing courses lately for a change of pace. I gotta admit, security protocols, certification exams, and emerging threats keep me on my toes 24/7.

But now I'm curious if anyone here knows about Writing and Publishing programs in Texas. I reckon it'd be mighty interesting to explore the creative side while honing my tech skills. If you've got any insight on courses or professors in the Writing and Publishing realm, I'd sure appreciate it! Balancing binary code with storytelling seems like a wild ride, but hey, variety's the spice of life, right?

There's something about storytelling that makes technical communication SO much better.

For Texas programs, here's what I've found:

Sam Houston State University has an MFA in Creative Writing, Editing, and Publishing where students get hands-on experience with Texas Review Press. They offer $10,000 fellowships renewable for three years plus graduate assistantships.

Texas Tech offers MFA tracks in multiple genres with required courses like Writing for Publication and Teaching Creative Writing.

University of North Texas has an undergraduate course ENGL 4130 - Editing and Publishing that covers mission statements, aesthetic vision, and editorial practices.

Your security background + writing skills = unstoppable combo.
