Hey there! Taking short breather from rehearsal for our upcoming spring production here at Stephen Austin State University can't wait to see it all come together! But on to the real reason I'm tapping away at my keyboard right now. Have friend who's been raving about Trinity Valley Community College's work-study program. She says it has been game-changer for her: made school affordable, provided some real-world experience, yadda yadda.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled she found something that works so well for her. But I'm curious if everyone else has had such positive experience? Or is this just one of those "your mileage may vary" kind of things? One thing that piqued my interest was the fact that the program also offers positions related to specific study areas. As theatre arts major, the idea of possibly having work relevant to my field seems like an amazing opportunity.

Like said, So, does anyone have any insight into the college's work-study deal? Any theatre majors or art students involved in it? What are the pros and cons from your perspective? And while I'm asking questions. My daughter is considering going into art and design, and we've been looking at options including University of North Texas. If anyone has any insights or experiences there, I'd be really grateful. Can't wait to dive back into rehearsals tomorrow.
