I'm an East Texas social worker, got my start over at Stephen Austin. Thinking about going back to school online this time and Texas University Central Texas caught my eye. Now I'm first gen college student, so navigating this whole thing is still pretty new. Was wondering if any of you guys have experienced the online degree programs over there?. Also curious about that student to teacher ratio are we talking mega classrooms or more intimate settings?. And how supportive is the academic environment?. You know, does it feel like you're part of community, even online?. Trust me, being part of tight-knit academic community can really make difference.

Hey there! I'm Mary, proud alumna from St. Edwards University in Austin, now shaping young minds in my local school district. Reading your post took me back to my early college days at Texas Tech. Can't say it was easy at first, the transition and all, but things changed when got involved with couple of campus clubs. That's where made some lifelong friends and got to feel more at home. But talking about online degrees, I've seen some of my former students thrive in that setting too. They appreciate the flexibility it offers, especially those who're juggling jobs or family responsibilities alongside their studies. It's not for everyone, but it sure has its perks! Have you considered joining any online student communities or clubs?
