I'am coming at from Dallas where work on the career services team at Southern Methodist University. My job is basically to help our students figure out what they want to do when they grow up. Or, well, more accurately when they graduate though sometimes it feels like the same thing, don't think? To be honest, Anyhoo, I've got cousin currently studying at the University of Texas at Paso and he’s stuck in bit of pickle. He's been humming and hawing over whether to switch majors midstream from Chemical Engineering to Business.

And honestly, who can blame him? Change of direction halfway through college is quite the crossroads. But enough about that! What we really need right now are some practical insights from those of you who've been around the UTEP block. If any Miners past or present are lurking around here, it would be so rad if you could share your experiences with changing majors? Things like: How easy was the process? How helpful was the advising team? Did switching delay your graduation date?

And importantly, did it all work out in the end? In my line of work, see plenty of students exploring new paths and thinking hard about their futures. It's both exciting and terrifying, right? But hey, that’s college for journey of discovery full of plot twists!
