With internship competition fierce and networking events crucial for Wall Street prep, do y'all reckon Texas college dorm life is worth the hype? Wondering if living on campus enhances the Texas academic experience or if it's just more BBQ nights and midnight study sessions. Appreciate any insights! .
Dorm life at A&M is basically a rite of passage. I lived in Mosher my freshman year and it was chaotic, loud, and absolutely worth it.
The Aggie-specific perks:
Fish Camp connections deepen when you live near your new friends
Late-night study sessions before exams actually help
You learn the campus layout immediately
Free food at dorm events (always a win)
For Wall Street aspirations: Join the right orgs (Mays Business School has amazing ones) and network intentionally. The dorms give you a social base, but career stuff happens elsewhere.
If you can, get into the Business Living Learning Community. Classes with dorm mates = built-in study group and networking.
