UH: We're not just a commuter school anymore. Houston is the campus. 🏙️🐾

I'm a senior at University of Houston, and the change over the last four years has been wild. People still think of us as a commuter school where everyone goes home at 5 PM. That's not true anymore, and it's been changing fast.

The campus is transforming. New dorms everywhere. New dining halls. New student center. They're pouring money into making it a residential campus. More people live on campus now, which means more life on nights and weekends.

But the real campus is Houston. And that's the unique thing about UH. You're in the fourth-largest city in the country. Internships are everywhere—energy, medicine, tech, art, you name it. The Texas Medical Center is 10 minutes away. Downtown is 10 minutes. You can't beat the access.

The diversity is real. UH is one of the most diverse campuses in the country. Not just in stats—in actual experience. You'll have classmates from everywhere, with every background. You learn as much from them as from classes.

We have swagger. The "Coog" culture is real. Football is on the rise. The basketball team is always good. "Shasta" the cougar is iconic. There's a confidence here—we're not UT, we're not A&M, we're Houston, and we're proud of it.

The cost is reasonable. Especially for a major urban university.

If you want a city school with growing campus life, real-world access, and serious diversity, check out UH. Any other Coogs here? 🐆 (Yes, we know a cougar isn't a coog. Don't @ me.)

I'm gonna say something controversial: UH is better than UT for certain things.

Okay hear me out before you come for me. 🛡️

UT has prestige, sure. But UH has access. Want to work in energy? We're in the energy capital of the world. Want healthcare? Texas Medical Center is literally next door. Want arts? Theater District, museums, diverse food scene—all 15 minutes away.

Plus, class sizes. Yes, we have big lectures, but by junior year my classes were 20-30 people. My professors actually know my name and have connected me to jobs.

And can we talk about research? UH is a Tier One research university but people sleep on us. I'm doing undergraduate research with a professor who's nationally recognized in my field. Try that at UT as an undergrad.

The chip on our shoulder makes us work harder. And that's worth something.

Alright, bring on the UT and A&M trolls. I'm ready. 😤
